About IELTS score & validity

IELTS is a no pass or fail exam. It has a simple way of evaluating your English Proficiency on a scale of 0 to 9. Scoring one is the lowest, and 9 is the highest. It is advisable to prepare for a high band score if you want to enrol in a top university abroad with a high IELTS cut-off. Test report from IELTS

The IELTS Test report, also known as TRF, is a copy of your IELTS result and is valid for 2 years. One TRF is normally given to all candidates, but CIC and UKBA applicants can obtain an additional copy if their application is completed and verified. Institutions may receive up to five Additional TRFs without any charges if they are sent via regular mail. However, ATRFs that are sent by courier or overseas post may attract extra charges. At the same time, beyond five ATRFs, an admin fee applies. In case of lost TRFs, examiners need to turn to the test centre. The e-TRF is available in the IELTS profile for computer-based test takers. For the collection of the TRF in person, it is necessary to present the ID used for registration. Test centres never communicate results via email, phone, or fax.
