Recently launched by Donald Trump, the $5M Gold Card is a quick pathway to permanent residency in the USA. This investor route is aimed at wealthy individuals who want to invest and live in the United States. Many HNIs are interested, as it promises a faster and easier pathway to U.S permanent residency.

On June 12, 2025, the official website, trumpcard.gov went live, showcasing a gold card with Trump’s face on it. Additionally, the former U.S president expressed on his social media that thousands are already interested.

Many immigration experts believe it is an alternative to the existing EB-5 investor. As opposed to traditional visa options, Trump’s Gold Card program does not mandate candidates to create jobs or invest in specific U.S business sectors.

Though the card doesn’t immediately guarantee U.S. citizenship, it offers a pathway to citizenship. Furthermore, the website is live yet the Gold Card isn’t available for purchase. Interested applicants can sign up and receive notifications once the application process starts, officially.

Previously, the U.S. offered the EB-5 visa which allowed foreign investors to get a Green Card by investing USD 800,000 to 1.05 million in a US business and creating at least 10 full-time jobs in America. However, compared to the Gold Card, it was a long standing U.S immigration route.

Therefore, despite Gold Card’s hefty investment amount, it is increasingly becoming an attractive option for HNIs or other wealthy individuals who are interested in securing a quicker PR pathway to the U.S. Stay tuned with Glocal opportunities, the Best Immigration and Visa Consultant in Delhi, stay ahead!
