Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction & acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website www.glocalopportunities.com (the "Website"), and any consultancy, advisory or related services provided by Glocal Opportunities and its associated brands GloEdge Visas, Immigrow Visas and Pearlwise Consulting (collectively, "Glocal Opportunities", "we", "us" or "our").

By accessing the Website, submitting an enquiry, signing an engagement letter, making a payment, or otherwise availing of any service offered by Glocal Opportunities, you ("you", "the User" or "the Client") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Website or services.

2. Definitions

  • "Services" means consultancy, advisory and processing assistance for study abroad, skilled migration / Permanent Residency, business and investor visas, work permits, tourist visas, language and exam-prep coaching, and any related offering.
  • "Engagement Letter" means the service-specific contract or proposal executed between you and Glocal Opportunities containing service scope, fees, payment schedule, milestones and refund terms.
  • "Authority" means a competent visa, immigration, embassy, consulate, education, regulatory or government body of any jurisdiction.
  • "Personal Data" has the meaning given to it in our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility & user representations

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or, if a minor, are accessing the Services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be jointly bound by these Terms), have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction, and that all information you supply to us is true, accurate, complete and up to date.

You acknowledge that any misrepresentation, suppression of material facts, forged document, or fraudulent declaration may result in immediate termination of services without refund, and may expose you to civil and criminal action by the relevant Authority. Glocal Opportunities reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services in such cases.

4. Scope of services

Subject to the specific Engagement Letter executed for your case, our Services may include: profile evaluation, country / programme selection, document preparation, application drafting and review, university or employer liaison, visa filing assistance, post-landing referrals, exam preparation and language training. The exact deliverables, milestones, exclusions and timelines applicable to your case will be set out in your Engagement Letter, which prevails over these Terms in case of conflict on case-specific matters.

  • What our Services do NOT include
  • We are not a law firm and do not provide legal opinions or representation in court. Where regulated immigration legal advice is required, we work with independent licensed counsel; their fees are billed separately.
  • We do not act as a recruitment agency for any specific employer unless expressly stated in writing and registered as such under applicable law.
  • We do not collect or process government, embassy, biometric, language test, or third- party fees on your behalf except as expressly itemised in the Engagement Letter.

5. Engagement, fees and payment

Service fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes (GST), bank charges, courier costs, third- party fees (visa, embassy, language test, medical, police clearance, translation, notarisation, attestation), and any third-party professional fees (lawyer, evaluator, RCIC, MARA agent, OISC adviser, etc.). All such third-party costs are payable directly by you, or, where collected by us, are passed through without mark-up unless stated.

Unless otherwise stated in your Engagement Letter, fees are payable in instalments tied to milestones. The first instalment is due on signing. Services commence only after receipt of cleared funds. Late payment may result in suspension of work, with timelines extended accordingly.

6. Refund policy

  • Refunds, where applicable, are governed exclusively by your Engagement Letter. As a general principle:
  • Counselling, profile evaluation and consultation fees are non-refundable once the session has taken place.
  • Service / professional fees are earned milestone-by-milestone. Fees attributable to milestones already delivered are non-refundable.
  • Third-party fees (embassy, visa, biometrics, language test, medical, courier) are non- refundable as they are paid to external parties.
  • Refunds, where due, are processed within 30 working days from the date of approved refund request, after deducting any applicable bank charges and taxes.

7. Client obligations

  • You agree to:
  • Provide complete, truthful, and timely information and documentation, including disclosure of all prior visa refusals, criminal records, medical history relevant to admissibility, and dependent details.
  • Cooperate with our team, including attending counselling, document review, mock interview and pre-departure sessions when scheduled.
  • Pay all applicable fees on time.
  • Not engage any other consultant or representative for the same case while we are engaged, unless mutually agreed in writing.
  • Comply with all laws of India, the destination country, and any country of transit.

8. No guarantee of visa or admission outcome

  • You expressly acknowledge and agree that:
  • The grant or refusal of any visa, study permit, work permit, residence permit, citizenship or admission to any institution is the sole and exclusive prerogative of the relevant Authority.
  • Glocal Opportunities does NOT guarantee a visa, admission, scholarship, job offer, or any specific outcome. Our role is limited to professional advice, application preparation, and procedural assistance.
  • Processing times, fees, eligibility criteria, occupation lists, point thresholds, programme availability, and rules are set unilaterally by foreign governments and educational institutions and are subject to change without notice.
  • No statement made by any employee, counsellor or partner of Glocal Opportunities — verbal or written — should be construed as a promise of outcome.

9. Communication consent — SMS / RCS / Call / Email /

WhatsApp

By submitting an enquiry form, signing an Engagement Letter, or otherwise providing your contact details to Glocal Opportunities, you give your express, informed and revocable consent set out in the box below. 12. Confidentiality and data protection

We treat all client information as confidential. Our handling of Personal Data is governed by our separate Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using our Services you confirm you have read and accepted that Policy.

13. Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any Engagement, whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, shall be limited to the professional service fees actually paid by you to Glocal Opportunities under that specific Engagement Letter in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, less third-party pass- through costs.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of expected immigration outcome, or for delay or failure caused by any Authority, partner institution, employer, language testing body, courier, bank or third-party platform.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Glocal Opportunities, its directors, officers, employees, partners, affiliates and licensors from any and all third-party claims, demands, losses, costs (including reasonable legal fees), damages and liabilities arising from: (a) misrepresentation or suppression of material facts by you; (b) submission of forged, altered or fraudulent documents; (c) breach of these Terms or the Engagement Letter; (d) violation of the law of any jurisdiction in connection with your application or stay; or (e) infringement of any third-party right.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate the Engagement on the grounds and notice periods set out in the Engagement Letter. Glocal Opportunities may terminate immediately, without refund, on discovery of fraud, misrepresentation, abusive conduct toward staff, or non-payment of dues.

16. Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, pandemic, war, civil unrest, sudden change in immigration law or policy, embassy or consular closure, strike, internet or telecom outage, sanctions, or government action.
