Glocal Opportunities Private Limited
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This Travel Visa Privacy Policy explains how Glocal Opportunities Private Limited (“Glocal”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you apply for a tourist, visitor, transit or short-stay business visa, e-visa or electronic travel authorisation (ETA) through our Travel Visa desk, for any of the destinations listed on our website.
It supplements our main Privacy Policy. Where the two differ on a travel-visa matter, this policy applies. It is issued under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, 2011 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), and follows GDPR principles for applicants in the EU/EEA.
We collect only what the destination country, its visa centre or its e-visa portal requires for your application.
| Category | Examples |

| Identity | Full name, date and place of birth, gender, nationality, marital status, parents’ and spouse’s names |
| Passport & ID | Passport bio page and all used pages, old passports, Aadhaar/PAN (where a mission asks), national ID of co-travellers |
| Photographs & biometrics | Digital photo to mission specifications; fingerprints and facial images are captured by the visa centre, not by Glocal |
| Contact | Address, phone, email, emergency contact |
| Travel details | Dates, itinerary, flight and hotel reservations, invitation letters, host details, travel insurance |
| Financial | Bank statements, ITRs, salary slips, sponsorship letters, payment details for our fee |
| Employment & study | Employer/NOC letter, leave approval, business registration, student ID and school letters |
| Travel history | Previous visas, refusals, overstays, entry denials and deportations |

| Minors | Birth certificate, parental consent/NOC, parents’ passports |
Payment card and UPI details are entered on our payment gateway’s page and processed by that gateway; Glocal does not store full card numbers.
We do not use your passport, biometric, financial or travel-history data for marketing. Promotional messages use only your name and contact details, and only if you have opted in.
Your data is shared only with the parties needed to process your visa:
We never sell or rent your data.
A visa application is by nature sent to the government of another country. By applying, you consent to your data being transferred to, stored in and processed in that country, and in any country where its visa centre or e-visa system is hosted. Those countries’ privacy laws may differ from India’s. Once a foreign authority receives your application, its handling is governed by that authority’s own rules, which Glocal cannot control.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Passport scans, photos, bank statements and supporting documents | Deleted 180 days after the visa decision or after you withdraw, unless you ask us to keep them for a future application |
| Application form copies, visa copies and decision letters | 3 years, to support re-applications and disputes |
| Invoices, payment and refund records | 8 years, as required under Indian tax and accounting law |
| Communication and consent records | For the life of the relationship plus 3 years |
Original passports are never retained; they are returned to you or your nominee as soon as the mission releases them.
Documents are stored in an access-controlled CRM, shared with staff on a need-to-know basis and transmitted only over encrypted channels. Physical passports are logged on receipt and dispatch and kept in locked storage. Please send documents only through our official email, WhatsApp number or upload link, never to personal accounts.
If you submit data for a spouse, child, parent or group member, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and have told them about this policy. For an applicant under 18, a parent or legal guardian must give consent.
Under the DPDP Act you may ask to access a summary of your data, correct it, withdraw consent, have it erased (subject to legal retention), and nominate someone to exercise these rights. Withdrawing consent after an application is filed does not withdraw it from the embassy; we will stop further processing and delete what we hold, subject to Section 6.
